Freelance WordPress & Shopify Developer — UK Businesses
WordPress & Shopify Websites Built to Load Fast, Look Sharp and Actually Win Business.
With 9+ years of experience, I build, redesign and fix WordPress, Shopify and WooCommerce websites. I work remotely with UK businesses and international clients, with clear English communication from brief to launch. My focus is practical: faster loading, responsive layouts and a website that makes it easy for visitors to enquire or buy.
Let's discuss your website

Discuss Similar ProjectHow Naqi Ahmed Siddiqui delivers WordPress, Shopify and website optimisation projects for UK businesses — from initial brief to live site.
Review the business, audience, existing site and project goals. This shapes every decision that follows — a brief that's vague here leads to problems later, so this step is worth doing properly.
Define the page structure, content hierarchy and technical approach — WordPress theme, Shopify Liquid, custom HTML or a mix, depending on what makes sense for the brief.
Develop the responsive frontend and CMS functionality. Code is clean, structured and built for the long term — not a tangle of workarounds that causes problems the next time someone needs to edit the site.
Improve loading speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness and SEO technical foundations. This stage catches performance issues before launch, not after users start leaving.
Deploy to the live environment, run cross-browser and device testing, and provide support where required after launch. Handover includes anything the client needs to manage the site themselves.
9+ years of hands-on development across agencies, product teams and freelance projects.
Practical answers for UK businesses looking to build, improve or optimise a WordPress or Shopify website.
Yes. I work with UK businesses remotely on WordPress, Shopify and WooCommerce projects — new builds, redesigns, speed optimisation, SEO-friendly development and ongoing fixes. All communication is in English, invoicing is straightforward, and enquiries can be made via the contact form or Fiverr. Projects typically range from under £250 for smaller fixes to £2,500+ for full builds.
I offer WordPress development, Shopify development, WooCommerce setup and fixes, Figma or PSD to website conversion, website speed optimisation (including Core Web Vitals), SEO-friendly development, website bug fixing, and Cloudflare or security configuration. The focus is practical frontend and CMS work — building new sites, improving existing ones, and fixing things that are broken or slow.
Yes, and this is one of the most common types of project. Improving an existing site can mean layout and responsive fixes, performance and Core Web Vitals work, theme customisation, SEO technical foundations, ecommerce improvements, or converting a Figma design into working pages. A short description of what's wrong or what you need improved is usually enough to get started.
Yes. Fixing broken or slow WordPress sites is a regular part of the work — covering issues like broken layouts, plugin conflicts, slow load times, failed responsive behaviour, white screens, and performance bottlenecks identified with PageSpeed Insights. If you can describe the problem, I can usually tell you whether it's something I can fix and give you a realistic estimate.
Project costs vary depending on scope. Smaller fixes and improvements typically start under £250. A full WordPress or Shopify build — including design-to-code conversion, responsive layout and CMS setup — generally falls between £500 and £2,500 depending on complexity. Speed optimisation and bug-fixing work is usually scoped per project after reviewing the site. Enquire with your brief and I'll give you a clear figure.
You can start a project on Fiverr or send an enquiry through the contact form with your website URL, the service you need and a short brief. I review the details and reply with the most practical next step — usually within a working day. For UK businesses, the contact form is the quickest route for anything that isn't a standard Fiverr gig.
The process runs in five stages: Understand (reviewing your business, site and goals), Plan (defining structure and technical approach), Build (developing the frontend and CMS work), Optimise (performance, SEO foundations and mobile responsiveness), then Launch and Support (deployment, testing and any post-launch fixes). Most projects involve regular check-ins and a clear handover at the end.
Yes. Website speed optimisation covers asset compression, image optimisation, lazy loading, caching configuration and Core Web Vitals — user-experience metrics for loading speed, responsiveness and visual stability (LCP, INP, CLS). Google considers Core Web Vitals within its broader ranking systems; better metrics or PageSpeed scores do not guarantee higher rankings. This work is done as a standalone service for existing WordPress or Shopify sites that score poorly on Google PageSpeed Insights, or built into new site projects from the start.
Yes. All work is delivered remotely. Most clients are UK-based, but I also work with businesses in Europe, the US and elsewhere. Communication is in English, projects are run with a clear brief and structured process, and there's no requirement to be in the same time zone.
You can email naqiahmedsiddiqui@gmail.com, call +92 318 3008526, message via LinkedIn, start a project on Fiverr, or use the contact form on this website. For most UK businesses, the contact form or Fiverr are the quickest starting points — just describe your site, what needs doing, and roughly when you need it.
